On Saturday we pack up the kids and took a mini road trip to visit my Grandad - Hugh Kelly. He has been rather sick lately, but thankfully he is still as happy as always.
My Grandad is the sweetest man, many of my closest friends who have had the pleasure of meeting him would agrees. My Grandad lives on my uncle Will and auntie Vicky's farm,it is such a beautiful peacefully place to visit. The kids had an awesome time.
The strange fact is, that my grandad is actually my uncle. My mothers parents died when she was young. Her Mum died when she was only 12 years old and then her father died when she was 16 years old. My mum is was born in Scotland and was the youngest of 8 children. Her oldest sister Matilda married Hugh and started a family. They decided to come to Australia to provide more opportunities for their growing tribe. Hugh and Matilda took my mum, Marion under their wing and she came to Australia too. When I was born Hugh and Matilda told my parents that they would like to become my grandparents, since we didn't have any on my mothers side.
So I was named after Hugh Kelly. I feel so lucky to have a name with so much meaning.

1st Blogoversary ♥
Thursday marked one year since I entered this special world of blogs! I wanted to do this post this on thrusday but Blogger was down :(
My ordinal reasons for starting my blog have change. I blog now to document my life and share the pictures I take. I kinda like the idea of having a little record of important moments so that I won't forget them.
The best part about blogging for me is the friendships you make with the most beautiful people that support you, cheer you on and lift you up when you need it most.

Family Pictures
On Saturday afternoon we took a little drive into the Dandenong Ranges to take some family pictures.
I love the colours of the fallen autumn leaves, I have been meaning to take some nice pictures of the kids in a park with autumn leaves for years, just never got around to it until now. In fact I kinda demand it, as a mothers day present this weekend.
Silvan Reservoir Park is such a beautiful place to visit. We only had about an hour before the park was closed when we arrived. I would like to go back another time soon for a picnic and a stroll down one of the walking tracks.
So hard to get the kids off the large playground to pose for some picture. Not proud of it, but I had to yell abit and stomp my feet.
My sister Megan, lives close by and she was kind enough to come down and help us take a group family shot. We haven't had one of those taken since Skye was a few days old.
Here we all are: the McAllister Clan ♥
This is my favourite shot of the day...my little vampire child haha!

Casual Blogger
I have become a casual blogger! I didn’t mean too, it was never my intention. Would you believe me if I told you just how incredibly busy I am? Things are crazy around here, and I just don’t get “ME” time anymore.
I wake up in the morning get the kids to school, have breakfast and a shower, do a load of washing, answer emails, make hair clips until school pick up time, post those orders made, start dinner, bring in washing from the line, eat dinner, help kids with homework, put the kids to bed, chill out on the couch with my husband, and in bed by 10pm.
I am usually a night owl and rarely go to bed before 2am. This is my normal blog time; when my husband and kids are asleep and it’s only me awake. But lately I am so exhausted at the end of the day and just can’t stay up like I used too.
I miss my ME time! I like to blog, it give me the chance to reflect on the feelings & emotions that I am going through. Without it I feel numb! . Blogging makes me a better person, makes me connect to the world outside of my head. I must try harder to make the time for it.
