Megan

I spent some time with my little sister today. We went shopping, had lunch and then got our craft on! Megan is a serial headband wearer; she already has a box full of headbands I have made for her over the years.  We put our ideas together and came up with some beautiful unique designs.

My favourite materials at the moment are silk fabric, feathers and buttons. My sister is blessed with the yummiest brown eyes…wish mine were as pretty ♥

The end of school holidays

Today marked the end of school holidays and the start of term two. The feeling is bitter sweet, I will enjoy having the house back to myself but its crazy I will miss them somehow. Life is more simple when they are home, routine is thrown out the window. I love a little chaos ♥

Day in the City

In the first week of school holidays my brother in law Leon flew in from New Zealand to visit for the week. He has a very special bond with our kids and they had a lot of fun while he was staying with us.

We all went into the city for a day to see The Tutankhamun exhibition in the Melbourne Museum. We caught the train in so we didn’t have to worry about traffic or finding a car park. It was a fantastic day but we were all very tired after walking around all day long. As you can see above I took lots of pictures with my iphone.

Making of the Easter Bonnets

I have been totally neglecting my blog again, isn’t life complicated sometimes? I wanted to share some pictures I took when my husband, and I helped Phoenix and Skye make bonnets for the Easter Parade at school last week.

Poor Phoenix has spots on his face an outbreak of school sores, yuck! He is on medication and they are clearing up fast thankfully. When we took him to the doctors last week he said it was going around our area and he was seening almost 3 cases a day.

P.S The beautiful handmade dress Skye is wearing was made by Nikki from Monsoons and Mangoes ! Just can’t beat the quality when a dress last almost three years!
