This Saturday I'm grateful for...SUN

I am emotionally exhausted! It had been a hard few days. I can feel a negative whingy post coming on about how hard motherhood and running your own business is. But thankfully to maxabella loves its grateful Saturday so you are spared from reading such a post.

This Saturday simply put I am grateful for SUN

The sun is shining in Melbourne and everything always feels better when the sun out. This morning I am going to turn the music up and clean this messy house of mine. I will open all the blinds and windows letting the sun rays pour in. Then I'll take the dogs for a walk and I might let the children come too. This afternoon it will be all about taking pictures of all my new stock.

Today I will be happy no matter what, because the sun says so…

As I sit here looking out my window at the dreary clouds and rain, I agree with you completely! Everything feels better when the sun is out. Enjoy your day. x

Yes it's easy to get caught up in it all isn't it? We've just returned from a morning of sunshine and fun. I feel so much better now.

Sounds wonderful!
I too had the music turned up loud this morning while I sorted through messy cupboards and put away clothes!

Love that picture. It's beautiful! x

Last night I flopped into bed feeling so crap and exhausted that I grabbed the pen/paper on my bedside table and wrote down a big thing about how exhausted I was feeling after this week, with the intent of typing it up for the blog today... but then woke up this morning to glorious sunshine. Rather than posting what I'd written down I just left the computer off, dragged an old set of drawers out into the sun, and started sanding them down ... I figure physical exhaustion suppresses emotional exhaustion!

But sometimes I think blogs tend to focus too much on being positive and upbeat and perky and grateful. While I can see the value of being grateful for what we have, I also don't think it's natural or even fair to constantly wear the "I AM PERKY" mask every day. It's okay to have a whinge and admit you're tired. I defy any mother out there to say she doesn't know where you're coming from. Except that stupid Jacinta woman who says motherhood is a breeze. But she's a robot.

I for one am emotionally/mentally and now physically exhausted, and am about to park my arse in front of the tv with Iron Man II and 1L of choc chip icecream.

xx

We did the same thing yesterday. Today I think I'll go and haunt a couple of nurseries

I find the sun a great pick me up, not too much so it's stinking hot, just like yesterday where you enjoy it's rays.
happy week Kelly ♥

How appropriate, my post today is about my missing the sun after a few days of rain. Glad you are feeling better.

we had a week of no sun and dreary rain. I realized then there was no way I could live in Seattle where they rarely get sun..even though I've always thought it was such a cool city.
