Dinner time at the McAllister’s
Lots of fun is had around here at dinner time…tonight we ate
outside enjoying the gorgeous evening sun. Buffy & Kendra (our dogs) were hanging
around hoping to get a taste of our yummy lamb chops. The kids were allowed to stand on
the chairs and danced around to cool music. After belly’s were full of
yummy food, its was time to jump on the trampoline.
Music played on shuffle tonight was: Wolfmother, Alpine, The Grates, Muse, Cold War Kids, Cat Power & Mutemath. What's your favourite dinner time music?
Dinner: Lamb Chops, Feta & sundried tomatoes salad & homemade chips with herbs

breakdown
I had a mini breakdown today...
We receive a phone call and one of the real estate agents wanted to bring someone through our house with only 15mins notice. Of course this morning was the morning that I didn't make the beds, or hadn't put the dishes in the dishwasher yet. And general stuff was lying around, towels in the bathroom, toys in the lounge room! Instead I went for a nice long walk with my hubby and let him talk me into relaxing on the whole spotless house thing for one day.
Oh Boy did I go off my tree and loose it completely in that 15 minutes. I was racing around the house like a crazy person picking stuff up and shoving it in cupboards while screaming at my husband. I had tears streaming down my face and felt like I couldn't breathe! I think I was hyperventilating. And of course the people arrive before we had placed the leads on the dogs - it’s the worst thing ever having two dogs, when you are trying to sell your house!
Day 2 of the sales campaign….I’m hoping for a quick sale before I go completely insane!

{By the way its the weirdest feeling walking out of your house with your
dogs and leaving strangers behind. I wonder if I will ever get use to
it.}

Home for Sale
It's been a tough few weeks of painting, cleaning and packing things away. But...it's finally official, our little old brown house is for sale!

Finishing Touches
We have been getting ready, placing the finishing touches on our home before the real estate agent comes to take the pictures. We are hope for a quick sale, maybe a good offer before the Auction date. I am feeling ready to leave, even though our old brown house has never looked better.
My husband and I have big dreams of all the things we are going to do with our new place, and I just can't wait to get started...April 30th can't come soon enough.
Tree Climbing
We went for a walk passed our future home, it has a cool reserves at the back of it with lots of large trees to climb & a playground too. We move in on 30th April and the kids are very exciting, especially Phoenix & Skye because they will finally have there own room.
At the moment we have been working hard getting our current home ready for sale. All the painting is done, most of the de-cluttering is complete. Just some last minute things and our house will be ready for someone else to fall in love with.

Hectic
Things have been hectic around here. We painted the entire house inside and out and it looks amazing. Fresh paint makes a huge difference, the house feels younger and more free, somehow. Just need to paint the carport and then all the painting is done! Inside - the walls have been done in Antique White and the trim in Vivid White - Outside - Rusted Crimson (mission brown be gone).
Lot's of things have been sorted and thrown out. De-cluttering feels good for your soul and will make packing up and moving easier.
The children started school for the year on Wednesday. It feels weird not having them here at home all day. Phoenix especially is exhausted after this first few days and has been falling asleep as soon as his head hits the pillow.
Our house is signed up for an Auction on 24th March, with open for inspections starting every Saturday from 18th February. Its very scary and so very grown up of us.
My store is almost empty, I have had no time to fill it with beautiful designs that I have stored in my head. Hopefully we will have a quick sell and I can focus on my handmade business again.
Sorry the pretty pictures of my daughter Alex, have nothing to do with this post. I will post pictures of our old house once everything is complete.

New House
I'm still in shock and it doesn't feel completely real yet.
We brought a new house!
My husband & I are going to have our work cut out for us renovating it and making it our own. The previous owners are big fans of RED, but imagine crisp white walls, floor boards, brand new kitchen & bathroom, removing a wall or two to making it open plan living, veggie garden, bi-fold doors opening out to a outdoor entertaining space...maybe even a swimming pool.
