Brownies


Chocolate Brownies

Ingredients
  • 250g butter
  • 2 cups caster sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 plain flour
  • 3/4 cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Method
  1. Preheat oven to 180c. Line a 20x30cm slab pan with non-stick baking paper. 
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Remove from heat. Stir in the sugar. Add the eggs, 1 at a time, and stir until mixture is thick and glossy.
  3. Sift the flour & cocoa powder over the egg mixture and stir until well combined. Stir in the Vanilla. Spread over the base of the prepared pan.
  4. Bake for 30 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean. Set aside in the pan to cool.
*Bonus - Chocolate Frosting

Ingredients
  • 60g butter, softened
  • 2x tablespoons cocoa
  • 1x tablespoons honey
  • 1x teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cups icing sugar
Method

Combine together in a bowl; butter, cocoa, honey, vanilla, and icing sugar until smooth. Ice brownies while the are still warm. When cool cut into squares.
