Point & Shoot + Weekend Wrap Up

Point and Shoot:

This weeks point and shoot picture wasn't taken my me. My mum snapped this shot of my children riding on uncle Willam's quad bike on his little farm when they visited on Saturday. William and Vickies little white fluffy dog named Princess, loves to sit on his shoulders all the time my children tell me. How cute it that?

Play along with point and shoot over at fatmumslim's!

Weekend Wrap Up:

My husband crashed my date night with myself. He decided that the footy didn’t compare with time alone with me whilst our children were away with the grandparents. We went out for dinner and to a movie. The next morning woke early and took our dogs for a walk and we met up with friends for breakfast. We went shopping for clothes together which is something we rarely do.

Reuben had to go to work in the late afternoon. I spent my last couple of hours for freedom on Saturday afternoon cooking dinner for my parents to enjoy when they dropped off the kids. It was bliss to have 24 hours without our children. It was so quiet and so lovely to be just a couple for a little while.

Awwh I love date nights with hubby. Having one again this tuesday.
I thought it was a bird when I first saw the photo.
But what a smart dog.

Nights alone...magical. Even if you just sit around playing Angry Birds on your phone (ahem, done that) and crashing early, it's still magical.

That no-child silence is a serenade to my soul.

Your kids are so lucky to have a farm to visit. I think that would be my big wish for mine right now. I just love a farm. Don't tell LOML, but I always thought I'd marry a farmer and live off the land. LOML is about as far away from that as you can get (but I'm extremely happy, so what did I know?)
