Practicing

At the moment when I am not house hunting or making hair accessories, I am trying to decide if I am any good when I comes to photography. I really enjoy it, sometimes a shot comes out of my camera and it takes my breath away, and I say to myself "Wow Kelly you did it". And then times I feel like I am the worst photographer in the world and I have no skills.  So when my girls came to me dressed up with eyeshadow and lip gloss on and asked me to take some pictures - I was more than happy to practice on them!

i think many of us feel that way at times. ( in anything we do).
I know i feel like that sometimes. I try to stay positive, and know that no one else is me. I strive to be the best I know how. thats all I can do!
lovely photographs!

Your practice picture are positively beautiful.

I'm surprised you find time with all that house hunting and hair piece making! Good luck with it all:)

I am like that too! I get a bit self conscious about my photos sometimes. It's like I over-analyse them and pick them to pieces, especially the bits that could have been better. And then of course, there are the shots I look at and think "What was I doing"??
I reckon the key to a good photograph is knowing how to control your camera, composition and lighting.
Your girls are gorgeous!

I was just looking at the photos and before I had even read your words at the bottom - I was thinking damn you take a bloody good photo and damn I wish I could take a photo like that.

Don't doubt yourself - you are good.

I think you're really good, Kelly. I am no photographer myself, but I know a well-composed, lit-from-within image when I see one and I really think you've got 'it'. x
