Fun with Bubbles!

Not much to do on a cold overcast Saturday morning. My little sister Megan popped in for a visit and my children were restless, and needed some action. So we went for a little drive to the local botanic gardens so the children could blow bubbles. I had purchased scented bubbles yesterday and the whole area smelled divine once the kids got started. Alex had strawberries & cream, Phoenix had lemon & lime, and Skye had chocolate chip. I had forgotten that something so simple like bubbles could be so much fun.

There is just something so scrumptious about bubbles. The different sizes and the way they reflect light and wondering how long they will last before they pop! Love them. Great photos as always :)

I love the idea of scented bubbles. After our wedding we walked out into an explosion of bubbles (I know, very early-noughties, but we are signs of our times, right!?) I just loved it. And I love your photography too...

Scented bubbles! I've never seen those. Simple fun is always the best.

Love your photos - good luck with going all manual - you're a braver woman than me. We blew lots of bubbles this weekend too at my son's 2nd birthday party on Sunday. I bought loads of those huge bubble wands for 98cents at Big W and the kids and adults loved them.

I wonder if you could tell me how you make a grouped photo display like this - is it a blogger function or do you do it in a photo editing program?? I'm such a novice and I'm always seeing wonderful ideas I wish I could do.

I've found your blog today via Fatmumslim and I think I'll start following.

Hi Kirsty, Thank you for your lovely comments. Bubbles are so much fun aren't they no matter what age you are. I used photoshop to group the photos, and it's easy. Have you ever used photoshop before?

No my photos are all virgin - straight out of the camera. I should do a photoshop course though and then I might feel brave enough to start using it. Aaahhhh one day ...............
