This week I'm grateful for

This week I'm grateful for;

1) My Camera, I'm the most happiest when I am snapping pictures of my family, my garden, my designs and anything I can find.

2) My husband, I just love him to bits. He really is everything to me. We got a little drunk together on Thursday night and we were having so much fun laughing and talking. Didn't feel to good on Friday morning though, but it was worth it.

3) Alex, my elder daughter she is the most amazing helper in the house. She baked the yummiest Cinnamon scrolls this week for school lunch box treats and we have been eating them all week.

This week I am grateful for...

1) The yellow weeds {above image} - Dandelion, they are so pretty and it I feel a little sad when my husband mows the grass and they disappear. Our front yard is covered in them at the moment and it makes me smile everyday.

2) My new 50mm 1.4 lens! Oh my goodness I don’t know why it took me so long to move away from my kit lens. I just love the soft dreamy focus at 1.4 and the sharpness at 2.8.

3) Tissues – with all 5 of us sick with a cold this week, I don’t know how we would live without the fabulous invention “the box of tissues”!

This Saturday I'm grateful for...January

This Saturday I am grateful for the month of January. Everything has slowed down and life feels simpler. The madness of Christmas is over and the children are still home on school holidays. Lots of sleep ins, and lazy days at home. I feel more relaxed and at peace with myself. The sun is shining and the temperature is heating up. I’ll be visiting my best friend this afternoon, and a trip to beach is in my future.

Happy Weekend everybody!

This Saturday I'm grateful for...Music, Wine & Ribbons

This Saturday I'm grateful for -

1. How I love Music, let me count the ways! Last night I was chilling out with my hubby playing old cds. It was the perfect way to spend a friday night. Off to see Jeff Martin tonight, can't wait!

2. Wine with bubbles is divine! I drink a whole bottle on a friday night, this is my gulity pleasure.

3. I have 1000s of yards of ribbons at my house. I love the colours and the things I can make with them.

This Saturday I'm grateful for...SUN

I am emotionally exhausted! It had been a hard few days. I can feel a negative whingy post coming on about how hard motherhood and running your own business is. But thankfully to maxabella loves its grateful Saturday so you are spared from reading such a post.

This Saturday simply put I am grateful for SUN

The sun is shining in Melbourne and everything always feels better when the sun out. This morning I am going to turn the music up and clean this messy house of mine. I will open all the blinds and windows letting the sun rays pour in. Then I'll take the dogs for a walk and I might let the children come too. This afternoon it will be all about taking pictures of all my new stock.

Today I will be happy no matter what, because the sun says so…

Point & Shoot: Jack O'lantern

We had a lot of fun on Sunday celebrating Halloween. Alex, Phoenix and Skye dressed up as little vampires, ate lollies, put a lot of face paint on and we carved a pumpkin. When the children were in bed, Reuben (husband) and I watched a vampire movie called 30 days of night.

We didn’t trick or treat, I hate the idea of my children knocking on doors and eating candy from strangers. But we did have a bowl of lollies in case we had some trick or treater’s. In the end only one group of four came to the door, three black kitty cats and one red devil. Halloween seriously isn’t a big deal in our area.

When I woke up this morning Skye told me how much she loved Halloween. I was pretty glad I made the effort this year to do some fun things, we are creating childhood memories!

Join in on the fun over at fat mum slim’s today!
