I could NOT figure out the AV and shutter priority settings before understanding manual. I actually just used the AV setting a few days ago while trying to take pix while riding my bicycle. It worked out great for that purpose.

Good luck! You'll pick it up in no time. I always forget to adjust my ISO. I tend to use a slower shutter speed inside at our place to balance out my ISO and f-stop, anything over ISO-400 gives really me grainy images. I try and shoot in our front rooms as they have the best light, with ISO-200 or 400 depending on the time of Abbyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04330457054379562460noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7910602572430087392.post-71885489820252898802010-08-05T11:44:48.546+10:002010-08-05T11:44:48.546+10:00Here's a rule-of-thumb that I might have to pr...Here's a rule-of-thumb that I might have to print out and stick to my fridge!

http://www.digicamhelp.com/taking-photos/advanced-techniques/shutter-speed-chart/Abbyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04330457054379562460noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7910602572430087392.post-74717817896757419432010-08-05T12:59:10.365+10:002010-08-05T12:59:10.365+10:00Hi Abby, thanks so much for your tips and advice. ...Hi Abby, thanks so much for your tips and advice.
